Cheeses are something special.
Mature and flavoursome or fresh and creamy our selection of cheeses changes on a weekly basis. Naturally we have the favourites, excellent cheddar, wonderful Brie and more - but also a number of unusual types and flavours - come in and try!

Pies, pates and terrines

How many reasons do you need?

Pauline: "Now my husband can't complain about another cheese sandwich! It's really difficult to find something to put in his lunch box and these smaller pies are just great"

Suzy: " Wow, all that meat. Usually it's more pastry than meat."

Annie:" I can't serve rice with pies! I like that there is no back-taste one always seem to get from the supermarket pies..."

It's funny but all our regular staff seem to find themselves at The Old Forge on a Thursday lunchtime. Why? Because the pies are lacking in preservatives and so are short-dated -just seven days from the Real Pie Company. So guess what's for staff lunch. Yep. Pies. Not quite fights in the staff dining room but we have to cut them all in half so everyone gets a chance of the favourites. Except the Cornish Pasties so I get a complete one to myself - rank hath it's privilages.
